Monitoring that stays yours.

Matmon is a lightweight, Docker-first alternative to the big monitoring suites. Sensors, probes, alerts, wallboards and reports – running on your own host, with an optional cloud when you want reach.

Run it yourself

Everything you need to watch your stack

From a single Raspberry Pi to a fleet of sites – one clean interface, one clear signal.

Over 40 sensor types

Ping, HTTP, SNMP (v3 included), DNS, certificates, Docker, Proxmox, VMware, Synology, UPS, Windows and Linux health, SQL and your own scripts – with sensible default thresholds out of the box.

Probes and agents

Remote probes dial out to your primary, so a site behind NAT needs no open port. The agent runs as a Windows service or systemd unit on the machine it watches – and keeps itself up to date.

Alerts that stay

Alarms stay until someone acknowledges them and can be muted. Let a blip pass before it alarms, and escalate to the next person when nobody reacts – with per-channel thresholds and cooldowns.

Push, chat and e-mail

Notify by e-mail or webhook, with ready-made presets for ntfy, Pushover, Gotify, Telegram, Microsoft Teams, Slack and Discord – and a test button on every rule.

Power cuts, the moment they happen

Watch a UPS over its network card (SNMP) or on the USB port of your NAS (NUT): running on battery is critical at once, and a trap from the UPS makes Matmon look right away.

Maps and wallboards

Build a wallboard from gauges, graphs, lists, SLA and floor-plan widgets, roll whole subtrees or tags into one tile, and share a read-only link for the screen on the wall.

Syslog and SNMP traps

Collect the logs and traps of your switches, firewalls and servers in one place – on Matmon itself or on a probe next to the devices, which keeps them while your instance is away – search them live, and let a sensor raise an alarm when a device reports trouble.

Reports

A scheduled summary by e-mail and a customer-ready PDF audit report with uptime, problems and the events of the period.

An optional cloud

A dead-man switch for each instance, a public status page, a notification gateway and Full Access – operate a primary behind NAT straight from the browser.

The central log – what switches, firewalls and servers report, and the SNMP traps of a UPS, in one live, searchable list (here from demo devices).

A push sender in two clicks: pick the ntfy preset (or Pushover, Gotify, Telegram, Teams, Slack, Discord) and the request is filled in.

Every page works on a phone: the menu becomes a drawer, tables become cards.

Up and running in three steps

Run the container

Start Matmon with Docker on any host and create your admin on first launch – no external database needed.

Add sensors, probes and agents

Discover your network, pick sensors from the catalog, drop a probe at a remote site or an agent on a server.

Connect the cloud – if you like

Link to Matmon Cloud for a dead-man switch, a public status page and browser access to instances behind NAT.

Simple, honest pricing

The monitor is yours to self-host. A cloud plan is per instance.

Run it on your own Docker host

One image, one command. The volume holds everything – configuration, history and the cloud link – so you own the whole stack.

Open http://your-host:8099 afterwards and create your admin account.

Or start with the Cloud

docker run
docker run -d --name matmon \
  --restart unless-stopped \
  -p 8099:8099 \
  -v matmon-data:/app/data \
  ghcr.io/real-ttx/matmon:latest
or Docker Compose – docker-compose.yml
